sonic reducer
Ok this is my first posting on this forum so bear with me if this seems like I'm running over old ground here. I have an mz-rh1 which I do 'ambient recordings on. I used to be able to do digital transfers from MD to PC on my old vista machine, now I'm on Windows 8 (64 bit) - of course, I'm having problems, no surprises there.! I downloaded the 'broken' 760 drivers there are 3 files with no exe...guess I can't use that one then? are there any special install instructions? is there an intact 'SS4.3 ultimate' dl somewhere else? Do i install my old version of 4.3 and use this dl as a patch ? sorry, it's not that clear. I understand that i need to disable the driver signature enforcement, at least before i install - no probs there Any helpful tips on successful work-arounds would be hugely appreciated. It beggars belief that whilst Sony has come up with some brilliant tech over the years and yet they still manage to continually drop their loyal customers in the poop, rediculous behavior. sfbp
1. disable signature enforcement. The easiest way is via <f8> menu at boot time, if you know what that is 2. You need the 760 drivers, yes. Copy them on to your HD and point the installer at them when the time comes. 3. Install the 4.3 downloaded from THIS SITE HERE, and when it comes time to plug in your RH1, use the 760 driver. You should be in good shape. The driver is completely unnecessary unless you are trying to upload "legacy" MD, eg SP, LP2 LP4. IE if you recorded in any HiMD format (HiLP,HiSP, LPCM) you should be fine without any extra drivers. Hope this helps.
