emmdee Posted March 5, 2014 Report Share Posted March 5, 2014 Hi I used MD a lot between 2000 and 2009 and currently have a Sony MDS JE330 and a portable MZ-NH700, both of which work. I'm still amazed by how much better the MD sound is than my IPOD. I have a stack of MD and HIMD discs. What I would really like is to buy, if possible, a hi-fi separate component like the MDS JE330 but which plays the HIMD format. Having to use the NH700 at home is a fiddle, really. I've had a good look round the internet, but I cannot find a list of hi-fi separates that have HIMD capability. If I had such a list, I could narrow down my Ebay/second hand shop search and weed out all the nonHIMD players that are for sale second hand. Can anyone direct me to a list of HIMD-compatible separates? I'm in the UK, FWIW. Thanks m.d. (I just realised that my initials are MD.
