AJT
I have a pair of Sennheiser Bluetooth headphones. They ‘pair’ with my iPad and MacBook Pro with no problem. When I try to use them via the headphone jack of my MR R55 mini disk player, the headphones announce ‘pairing’, but never ‘pair’ successfully. Can a Bluetooth connection be achieved or is it not just possible due to the technology of the device?
sfbp
I guarantee you there is no such thing as a real minidisc player with bluetooth. The closest you will get is a minidisc-compatible head unit in your car which does bluetooth. Even that will not support headphone output. There are some nice players from Sony such as NW-F88x (x=0,5,6,7) which have bluetooth. But no minidisc, although it's possible to get minidisc-ripped files on to them (ATRAC) and play them back. CBits Tech
Late to the thread, but wouldn't something like this work? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Ultra-thin-Mpow-Traceless/dp/B07G388C5Z/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2Y5T1K8PT2PCW&keywords=3.5mm+bluetooth+transmitter&qid=1571614477&sprefix=3.5mm+blutooth+%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-3 Plug it in to the headphone jack of your MD player, and pair it with your headphones. If you have Sennheiser headphones, you're probably looking for a high end Bluetooth transmitter. The one I linked to was just the top one in the search list. bluecrab
Even if you do go MD > BT device, you're going lossy to lossy. Probably not a good thing, aptX included. That said, I should think CBits Tech's suggestion should do the trick. The price is certainly right.
