kerfuffle
Guess they took out all the Connect Player CDs out of the box, then downloaded SonicStage CP and burnt it onto a CD-R. . . .
Ascariss
uhm I would be worried if software from sony came on cd-r. Even my old sonicestage that came with my MD was a normal cd you would expect from sony not a Cd-r.the connect player cd comes as well in a paper sleave but it's all purple and say's Sony Connect on it, or whatever is on the damn thing, haven't looked at it before.unless this is because sony replaced the CP with SS CP so maybe that is why it's a cd-r, anyone who bought their a series with the new SSCP, did it come on a cd-r? Ishiyoshi
This is a most unusual practice for Sony. It could be either a regional decision or an independent move from your local electronic store. Sony India or your local electronic store must have decided to replace the original CONNECT Player CD with an ad hoc SonicStage CP CD-R. I remember in the good old days before I got broadband that it took like 2 hours to download SonicStage from the Internet.Guess Sony India/the local store wanted to save consumers' time (not to mention download data limits) by supplying a CD with the latest version of SonicStage. Guest Stuge
I don't think retailer has swapped the Connect disc with cd-r disc .What i feel it might be the decision of Sony India to do that .(as said by Ishi ).If I find time after college ,I will call Sony India towmorrow . Same thing for my older SS software for MD, I always needed the orginal CD to install it, then update it.
