YdY
OK. since I have read several posts about Connect Player not working and I have experienced the infamous tinyhttp.exe error myself and numerous other errors, I thought anything that might help people stabilise their CP software would like to know about it. So...Currently I am using an NW-A3000 unit purchased in Japan. CP Software Ver: 1.0.4.16100. At first I had real trouble with this software, as stated above. However, purely by chance when I installed SonicStage 4 Ver:4.0.0.5080 my CP program ran without a hitch...or almost. The program still crashes if I have too many other tasks running at the same time though.
maxthrusters
After enduring Connect Player until the release of SonicStage CP I can heartily recommend that you uninstall Connect Player immedately and use SonicStage CP.All of the A-series functions are supported with SonicStage CP. Good luck, and welcome to AtracLife Edited September 6, 2006 by maxthrusters
Ascariss
In the end, the Connect player stability depends down to how well installed your windows system is and what kind of PC ypu have.Never had CP crash on me once I got my new pc, has run without any glitches either. As well just this weekend I removed around 1700 songs and re added the entire directory with more songs in one go, no problems.

I had 5000 tracks in my library, a mix of ATRAC, MP3, WMA.
Ascariss
I don't mean clean as in format and then install, everything should be updated, sp2 of xp2, all drivers etc etc.I have now around 1750 songs in my CP, loads in 10 seconds or so and runs just as fine as itunes, even better sometimes. I once had 3500 or so odd songs in my library, load time was the same.unless CP just likes intel processors better than AMD. lol.
maxthrusters
I had the bright idea to reinstall Connect Player again. After patching and letting it run overnight importing "only" my SonicStage folder (8099 tracks, took all night and then some) I enabled ArtistLink."tinyhttp has enountered an error and needs to close" and "C++ Error, tinyhttp.exe, abnormal program termination" would greet me after ArtistLinking about 10 songs. I restarted the program each time, and got about 100 tracks ArtistLinked after 2 days lol.A friend came over yesterday with his iPod and wanted to download some tracks (he doesn't have a computer, got a Nano as a gift). I installed iTunes for him and it was done importing 11,000 mp3 files in under 5 min, and the transfers were done in seconds. I'm not an iPod fan but that was pretty amazing. After he left I went back to trying to ArtistLink more songs, and you know what? I couldn't help but wonder why Sony can't get it right with Connect Player or SonicStage.I ended up uninstalling Connect Player again, so I am back to using SonicStage CP with my A3000 and A608. This suits me fine as I use SonicStage for MiniDisc too.If I was a Mac user I am sure I would go for an iPod.
