rwh8196
Hi everyone! I'm rather new to MiniDiscs, using them and SonicStage since January. Because I was a novice, instead of checking songs back in, unfortunately I deleted them instead. Now, even though I only have 1 copy of the album on MiniDisc, I can't create another version, as it says "Transfer is not allowed". Is there any way to fix this? Many thanks, Riley
bish
I think it's a limitation of the software. You may have to encode them with Audacity or something to create new files. I'm just logging back in to try the SonicStage 4.3 to see if it's any better at stuff like this. I'm not holding my breath...
sfbp
NetMD or HiMD? If NetMD there IS no checkin - all you're doing is decreasing the transfer count. If it's gone from the PC, it's gone. There are other ways of recovering data from NetMD disks but they are all painful. Even an MZ-RH1 won't do that. Sony designed NetMD as a one way transfer. If HiMD there's a bit more hope but only if you decrypted (unprotected) the files before you sent them to the HiMD device.
