VAIO Pocket Losing Memory!

Hi,

Maybe you can help. I have had my Vaio Pocket for over a year. If I charge it up and use it quickly it is fine. However, if I charge it up and then don't use it for, say, a week, it is dead when I try to turn it on. When I then start to charge it up, I have to go through the whole settings process again such as configuring the G Sense and setting language, time, date etc.

Does this happen to anyone else, anyone know what it might be, any idea what I can do about it?

Common problem on the VP, the battery running down over time. The best thing to do is leave it on the charge cradle...

I dunno about the settings getting erased though (is it supposed to have a backup battery?). If rhere's supposed to be a backup, it could be that it has drained and needs tobe replaced. If there isn't any backup, it's just because the battery is running down which happens with the VP if it isn't in use, unfortunately.
