Any new hdd player coming?

I was wondering if sony is about to release something new for winter season, if not I guess I'll have to buy a zune, which has very intuitive interface at a very competitive price. I'm asking because on the other hand, zune wouldn't beat an upcoming sony player in terms of sound quality and battery life.

Any insider news?

Sony themselves have suggested they are working on a new hd-based player that also does video. They say Jan '07, but take that with a grain of salt - Sony often 'releases' products a couple of months before they're available.

I heard something like that quite a while ago.

Let's hope to get some new info soon.

I'm expecially interested to the price range. nwa3000 wasn't that competitive...

The new Australian Pulse magazine doesn't show any HDD players at all.

Only the last 3 types of flash players. The Personal Audio section is looking very thin these days.
