NW-e40x-nw-e507, and perhaps nw-e00x.Color help.

For the model NW-E50X or similar, i was wondering where the color is from. I have the Silver NW-507 but i dont know which cover gives it color if i had a blue,green,pink, or a purple one. because i wanted to paint mine myself cuz i like blue. So can anyone tell me if its the outer plastic cover or the inner plastic coating with the sony letters. And which one should i paint.

of course it's the inner cover that gives the color, the one outside is just a layer of protection.

i think the 00x ones are different though, but i never opened it before. if u want to change colour, i dont suggest u to paint it cuz it's gonna turn out pretty bad...try to take off the covers and you'll know why.

first there isnt a lot of space in between. u probably wont have room for the layer of paint.

and the inner cover is transparent which means u dont wanna paint the part where the display is, but that leaves it half silver half blue.

You shd pait inner plastic cover ,but I'm confused how will you paint it?

alright nvm then. sigh. i just have to get a new blue inner cabinet at a parts website. its costs 30 bucks and this silver one i have is freakin 13 bucks only. why such a big difference and the one i have is a high model nw-e50x. They put a less expensive cover on a high model player, so gay.
