jessicado
Hi--I am hoping someone can please help me! I am using Sonicstage 3.4. About 6 months ago I transferred all of my music files from my computer as Atrac files through Sonicstage to disks. (I was leaving on vacation and wanted to take my music collection with me). My Sony diskman plays them just fine. The music files have since then been deleted from my computer, with no other backup. I would now like to import those Atrac files from the disks back to the computer so I can download them into an MP3 player, but I can't get Sonic stage to recognize the atrac files. I have tried importing a CD, and have made sure that I checked Atrac or all music files, etc--but nothing seems to have worked! This is my first time using Atrac, and I didn't think to make backups because having used mp3 files in the past, I could always get them back onto my computer from the disks. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks. Edited December 11, 2006 by Ishiyoshi
kerfuffle
Sorry, but I don't think you can import atrac files from atrac discs. I think the atrac files on the disc have a different extension to that of the atrac files on the computer.

navsimpson
Also, if you do re-import using ATRAC, make sure you uncheck 'add copy protection' or, if you do a system restore etc., you'll be in the same position. Sorry about your troubles dude - that really sux -Nav
