If I download this, I will get a protected AAC file. I did this once before from iTunes, and found I couldn't play the song I bought. Has anyone tried this using firmware v3.0 for the NWA series? peter312 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Share Posted December 29, 2006 I believe that the only thing you can do is:Buy the trackMake an Audio CD using iTunesRip the CD with SonicStageTransfer the ripped track to your player using SonicStageWhilst this process gets the file onto your player, it does involve re-encoding an already encoded source.Unfortunately, the DRM on files downloaded from iTunes means that they can't be played on non-iPods. It works and strips the DRM from WMA & AAC DRM files without removing the ID tags. I have tried it and it does work.
