nw-1200 can the mono/stereo be chagned

hello i have the above hhd player and i have it playing in my car via the cd player, but the singing only come through the right speaker and the rest of the music through the left ,so it sounds unbalanced as it plays in stereo . can i change the sound staging or play the hhd in mono, and is there a hack for this in the test otions, thanks, ray

The A1200 should not be modifying the sound coming from the file it is playing, particularly in terms of L/R separation. The face that you're getting the effect you mention is most likely due to the way the original file was recorded/encoded. The best way to fix that would be to fix/modify the original file(s) causing the problem. Surely it can't be that way with all files you playback, can it?

How are you connecting your Walkman to your CD Player? Tape Deck converter? Patch Cable? Unless you're using a FM Transmitter, check your cabling first. Then your transmitter, then your file.
