Question

Here is the ever message :

MP3 files with a non-44.1KHz audio sampling rate will be transferred.

Please note that some devices or medias cannot support playback for files of this type.

If you cannot play these files with a device, change the transfer settings to Specified bit rate transfer mode.

Here is the information for the MP3 in question :

Size: 10537710 bytes

Header found at: 1040 bytes

Length: 2634 seconds

MPEG-2 layer 3

32kbit, approx. 101314 frames

22050Hz Mono

CRCs: Yes, Copyrighted: No

Original: No, Emphasis: None

And here is the info an MP3 that works :

Size: 10429041 bytes

Header found at: 1040 bytes

Length: 2607 seconds

MPEG-1 layer 3

32kbit, approx. 100269 frames

44100Hz Mono

CRCs: Yes, Copyrighted: No

Original: No, Emphasis: None

Can someone convert that error message into something that I can understand? :)

I'm interested to find out why it occurs and why I have to convert to ATRAC format to get it to work.

Thanks !

Maybe it has something to do with your file in MPEG-2 instead of MPEG-1?

I've seen MPEG-2 Layer 2 but this is my first time to see MPEG-2 layer 3. I believe what people call MP3 is MPEG-1 Layer 3 or at least most widely used ones.

Have you tried MPEG-2 layer 3 play on other devices?

Please correct me if I am wrong about anything

You are trying to play 22050Hz( audio sampling rate) mp3 files, which E5xx series Walkman will not play .E5xx series will only play 44100Hz(audio sampling rate) mp3 files .
