gloomyjewel
Hope this is the right place to post.Basically, I've added jacket pictures to all the songs I've put on my NW-S706F. I arrange them in playlists if that makes a difference. When I'm on Sonicstage, the window that displays all the songs on the walkman do show that the jacket pictures are there, but when I scroll through the songs on the walkman I can't see any jacket pictures, just the default logo thingy that appears when the song doesn't have one but jacket display is on.Help? Zizone_
How did you transfer your jacket to your songs?Did you click property on the album then located your jacket file or did you drag the file to the album? After dragging jacket to the album, then the message will show up asking to implement jacket to all the songs within that album. Sometimes, this helps.
gloomyjewel
Nah I added the pictures in the properties. Wish I knew you could drag and drop, would've have saved a heck load of time! All the songs do have jacket pictures.. and they are on the walkman's memory, I know that for sure because they are on the ATRAC device's box in Sonicstage (if that makes sense), I just can't see them on the walkman itself. Dachande
I have one question regarding Jackets also. What would be the best size for creating jackets? And how come sonicstage does not put jacket automatically when importing cd's? Zizone_
Dachande:I just use the jacket uptained from SonicStage (just right click and click search for jacket). Then image will load up and just drag the image to the album. As for why it is not doing it automatically, I don't know. But when you download music from Connect, the jacket is loaded automatically. gloomyjewel:I take that each songs have pictures not just album right? What type of image file are you using? It is a dumb question but you are using SonicStage 4.1 or later? I think previous versions did support displaying jackets on computer but does not support transferring to NW-S700 series. Honestly, I have never seen this problem. Sorry for not being much of help. gloomyjewel
Yup, each and every song. I'm using the version that came with the walkman, I'm assuming the newest version. I think I'm using JPEG files. Do you think I might just have a faulty player??? I could always exchange it, but for some reason I feel like I've probably just made a silly mistake. boby_us2004
I have the jacket picture display issue too. Here is SS and device I used:1) NW-S705F2)SonicStage v4.33)Windows XP (PE)What I found is that the player looks display jacket picture in a unpredictable way. Sometimes it display these but sometimes those when I downloaded in a different sequence. This is very annoying.I checked the folder on the device through Windows and found all the pictures are there. But a lot of duplicated pictures! The best thing is SS will reduce the picture size to less than or equal to 7KB. But I don't know how these picture files are organized inside the device. There is no any document regarding this.I contacted Sony technical support. But they looked not that supportive. If anybody has anything useful, please share with me here. Thanks in advance! Shinji Ikeda
Hello boby_us2004,The files that your see through Windows XP are for use with SonicStage. Looking at these files would give you only the information that the files exist, and nothing beyond that. You need to look at the properties of the files that are giving you problems in SonicStage. It is possible to have a different cover-art for each track in an album. Check the properties of the album, then the properties of specific tracks. Update the cover-art for the suspect tracks or albums accordingly. This can be done by dragging-and-dropping the images on the album or track in SonicStage.A word of advice SonicStage orginizes audio files, in the order that they were created.I hope this helps.
