sad_minotaur
Hi everyone! This is my first post here. Are there any differences between the above-mentioned player being sold in Japan and elsewhere?Would it cause any problems if I have a Japanese model that will run on German Windows?Thank you! 0 Zizone_
I don't think you will have any problems. Everything in the player uses English (menu, options etc.). I am using Japanese Windows, but from my past experience NW-S706 will work with any versions of Windows. I personally don't know why so many East Asians nations uses English... There seems to be some cool factor among people but personally I dislike it; I don't mean that I hate English or anything... But I believe our languages are as appealing as any other languages and should at least be used in its own nation when there are words in our language... 0 Shinji Ikeda
Hi everyone! This is my first post here. Are there any differences between the above-mentioned player being sold in Japan and elsewhere?Would it cause any problems if I have a Japanese model that will run on German Windows?Thank you!As stated by Zizone the menu's are in English. It could because the countries stated by Zizone believe that English is the universal Language. With the Japanese version of the NW-S706 is that the radio stations frequencies that can be received are those in Japan only (76.0-90.0 MHz and TV1,2,3). It is only SonicStage that is regionally dependent, i.e. dependent on the version of Windows that you have. Sony Network Walkman's do however display different languages for album, artist, and genre.Hopefully Sony will get rid of the regional dependence of SonicStage, and make SonicStage Multi-lingual. You can download the correct version of SonicStage if you need to.Japanese NW-S706 will not cause any problems if ran on the German version of Windows.I hope this helps.
