A3000 broken

Question

Recently my NW-A3000 started to lag. It just freezes, not responds (except the reset button), it is hard to turn it on, it turns on only after the reset button is pressed a few times. Basically, it is impossible to listen to this player now. Any ideas on the problem? What should I do? Don't tell me about warranty, I don't have it, and I'm afraid, that repairing the unit would cost a lot. So, is there anything I could do myself, shoul I take it to repair or should I look to another player?

Hi mate i would say that maybe u can ask how much it costs to repair it in ur country, if u think that's too much and of course u just don't want to go to that path, then u can buy another player since u need ur music. There are great ones out on the market, u can get online maybe previous series of hard disk player, or maybe NW-A800, really depends on whether u think it's worthy enough to stay or let it go

Of course it's your money and your decision, but I went from A3000 to A808 and it was a relief; good batterylife, superfast operation and a screen that is readable outside, not to mention the weightloss.

The sound is different; the A3000 is smoother, the A808 more crispier and detailed.

Personally I wouldn't go back, only thing I miss is the 12 Gb less...
