pata2001
IMO iTunes is still the best podcast management software out there, so just use it to get your podcasts, and have Son..Chronicstage import-scan the iTunes library. Catch is you have to do this everytime you update the podcasts in iTunes. You can always drag-n-drop the podcasts from iTunes to SS. Regardless, I can't think of any automation process. If only SS can auto-monitor/import selected folders...
marftarf
have a look here:http://www.atraclife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3341it's a workaround for a sort of folder monitoring. whatever folders you scanned on the previous scan are automatically scanned and imported when you start sonicstage using this script. You can't touch anything while it does it, the sonicstage window has to remain active and you can't tap any keys or anything while its running. Richard
Indeed that autohotkey workaround is not bad. I automatically download podcasts with an RSS reader (FeedDemon) then use the scan folder function in SS to import them.I guess there is hope that rss management will be incorporated into the next version of SS. They managed to include an RSS manager in version 3 of Image Converter so why not SS.
bangraman
Yeah... lack of joined-up thinking yet again regarding Image Converter. Build a halfway usable RSS reader/loader, and limit it to movies. Great. Autohotkey doesn't look like a bad way to go, if only Chronic didn't take so long to do that particular task. I could actually do the same thing in Winbatch, only it would probably spoil my 'Chronicstage only' setup since I was too cheap to pay for the compiler. I'm going to give it a go after I put together the Chronicstation and see just how bad the startup time will be with my cut-down library. The 'no new files' error is one of those absolutely moronic things that just serves to illustrate the hopelessness of the Chronicstage programmers... marftarf
Yeah the error when there is nothing new to import from the folder is ridiculous, and its been like that as long as i can remember.I'm sure that if something like that cropped up in itunes they would fire the guy responsible. Or fire the whole team.
