Some newbie questions about A808

Hey people!

I just got my NW-A808 and it is charging now as I am typing this.

I haven't used it yet, the battery was too low.

I'd like to ask some questions though:

1. For the first charge, will 3 hours be enough?

2. The connector, it kinda fits in hard into the player. I just shoved it in and it's in now, but when I want to get it out, do I just have to pull it? Isn't there like a button on the cable or something (I couldn't find it)?

3. When connected, it just keeps saying 'connecting' on the player. But SonicStage does see the player and imho it is connected. I mean, why does it keep saying that it's connecting?

4. Do I have to like discard it with the software before pulling the cable out? (like you have to do in iTunes before disconnecting an iPod)>

And another question..

I've figured out SonicStage, but there is 1 thing I don't understand.

When an album has been made by several artists, SonicStage just keeps showing the album more than once. I don't want that.

For example, I want all these '2001''s to become just 1 '2001', if you know what I mean. I've already tried every possible combination on the left view-menu.

For your 2001 album problem, go into All Tracks view, then set the Keyword Search parameter to Album. Then type 2001 so that the songs with the album name 2001 show up. Select all the tracks, right click and select Properties. There should be an option that says 'Tracks in the compilation albums' - check the box. When you look at the 2001 album in Album view, there should only be one, with eleven tracks in it.

It seems like the reason why you are getting so many list of same album is because songs in that album belong to different artists. One way of fixing this issue will be to have all the songs in that album "2001" to the same artist.

1.Do worry ,Leave it for charging .It will automatically display fully charged .

2.)Yes you are right your will need to pull the cable(But do that carefully )

3.)Disconnect it from the PC first ,then take out the cable .
