Technology flashed based memory does not need to be paused. There are no moving parts that need to be placed in a waiting state, such as a CD. When the player is stopped the position that the track was stopped at is remember. So when the player is started again it resumes at the position that the player was stopped at. Have the player communicate with the supplied software however resets the player.2. The is no volume cap on any of the current Sony products of DAPs.
