Problems gettin video on to Sony NW 806

Sorry if this is in the wrong area - I couldnt find a better one - Im trying to use the video transfer thing that comes with the Nw 806 to put divx files onto the walkman the problem is it has to convert them which it does upuntil 99 percent and then tells me there was a problem with the file stream - anyone else had this know how to stop it. It happens with every DIVX file I try (but not normall AVI ones).

Image Converter isn't the best software out there. I couldn't encode any .mov files. It sometimes works (good for xvid), it sometimes doesn't. I would suggest to make sure you have the proper codecs, or use other software that encodes to an iPod compatible .mp4 (eg. Xilisoft Video Converter is what I use) and it should be playable on your A806. Hope this helps.

(might not be compatible with vista though, have to double check that)

I had the same problem, I use freeware Videora to convert my media files to MPEG4 format; works like a charm
