aob9
Taken from Sony's UK website this morning............................ If you currently own a WALKMAN® everything will remain exactly the same. So you can still enjoy unbelievable sound quality, long battery life and great looks. And you’ll continue to use the SonicStage digital music management platform to organise audio tracks and synchronise your music player.SonicStage will still be updated so you can always keep your WALKMAN® up to date. And buying music from the Sony Connect Music Store will still be possible until at least March 2008.Check for yourself...http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowArticle.act...;site=odw_en_GB

kino170878
Actions speak so much louder than words. Let's see if they really do release a new Sonicstage version.
Avrin
I'd rather prefer that they open the source. SONY, open the Magic Gate! There is nothing to lose, but so much to be gained! Edited September 6, 2007 by Avrin

This is just a rewording on what they said. Half empty vs half full. Only a fool would still buy tracks from Connect (unless you have those free coupons). rajveggi
that's cool, i guess it comforts people who have to deal with SS in the future. But i'd rather make my next purchase a drap and drop walkman, so that i can move away with SS, anyway i like walkman no matter what
BIGHMW
I rarely bought tracks from Connect.......It's the SS support I am happy about.Me neither, especially since they will not support underground, struggling, or independent artists such as myself, neither as The Heavy Metal Warrior (with my old hardcore/thrash band S.M.F. from 1997-2003) nor as my current gangsta-rap moniker, AK47 (2003-present).
