Memory error...format error

I've bought the Sony NWS705F for about 3/4 of a year now.

about 3 months ago i stopped using the about 2 months. Then when i picked it up and started using it a month ago

it came up with a message "memory error". I couldn't listen to music, the time/date was gone, the music was all gone.

When i tried to format it i would go to the format screen and press format it would come up with a message "format error"

When i tried plugging it into the computer my computer gives a basic response for about 1 second then dsn't pick it up and Sonicstage dsn't pick it up either!

I REALLY want to listen to music guys lol. Any help?

It should still be under warranty. Get it serviced.

I agree, don't waste your time with it. The more you mess with it yourself the better chance of SONY Repair service telling you it's your own fault.

here's the problem...i bought it on Ebay which means i only had 2 weeks warranty.

I'll need to fix this by myself or go to the only service centre in Sydney which is nowhere near my where i live.
