a818: playlist w/o transferring songs?

I have a really strange and diverse collection of music (1 or 2 songs from any given album) and I finally cut it down to my favorite 8 gigs and loaded up the player. Now I'd like to make some playlists (I've tried wmp11 and winamp) but I can't for my life figure out how to do it with the files already loaded. Would I have to open 2 windows, pick through the songs on the player, make a playlist, delete the files, then transfer it over? Or what if I want a song in several playlists?

It seems like a simple thing here but it's driving me nuts.

You'll have to delete what's on your device first, then make your playlist(s) in Winamp then transfer the playlists to the device.

The way I made my playlists was to just right click the folder, and there should be a 'create playlist' option. The downside is that you can't have one song in multiple playlists, unless you duplicate the file to the different folder.

In my case I use WMP 11, if you already transferred the song there is no problem, WMP11 detects it and doesn't copy it again. So if you create a playlist in wmp11 after you transferred the songs, only the new songs are transferred. The same with real player...And I guess the same should happen with winamp...
