tbenschop
Is there a way to forward tracks faster? When playing a 2 hour mix it takes about 10 minutes to get to the half of the track.... 10 minutes and a sore thumb..

And to "juli", no, if you do that you'll skip the song. You're referring to the players after the S70x series.

0 juli_
Ooops sorry. My 706 has been retired to the speaker cradle and only gets used on there. I assumed it had the same f/f feature as the 808.

0 imagine_
The FF is way faster than the E400/E500 series which were excrutiatingly slow (basically, ff at the same rate as the file normally plays). Unless you are dealing with 30 minute tracks, its not that slow, I am ok with it. I remember that the A600 (the one between the S700 and the E500) had an option in advanced options to accelerate the FF (up to 8x i believe), but this one does not. 0 iroczvinnie
Thinking out loud here but I recall back in the day that my aiwa md unit could split atrac tracks on the unit it self. This got me thinking - I don't know anything about your player series, but if you are using sonicstage you can divide tracks if they are atrac/pcm (per atrac help). You could divide the track into 2minute segments and This would allow you to skip to approx where you want to start. Yay for atrac :-) Edited June 29, 2008 by iroczvinnie
