Guest Anonymous
I recently got an mz-n1 for xmas. I'm using the openmg software that came with it. For some reason, when importing mp3's from my harddrive, 90% of them have noise after being imported. The noise is present whether playing directly from openmg or after xferring to the Net MD. Please can someone help me! I'm desperate! Aloha Nate
Bazirker
Weird, maybe your computer sucks. Try reinstalling the software, that shouldn't happen. If that doesn't help, try downloading openMG or Sonicstage again, maybe you have faulty software.
Guest Anonymous
Actually, I'm fairly certain that my computer doesn't suck. It's a 1.8 GHz w/ a ton of RAM. I've re-installed openmg a hundred times. Never fixes the issues. Anyone have any further ideas?
Bazirker
Wow your computer definetly doesn't suck. Hmmmmm...does it only have the noise from imported mp3's, or does everything (including imported cds) have noise? Have you tried downloading Sonicstage 1.5? Sounds like you have a software issue, maybe Sonicstage will work for you (or maybe even update whatever in openmg is messed up.)
viperboi
I've had EXACTLY the same problem.. I've spent most of today trying to figure it out and this is what I've come up with........ It's Windows XP! (Don't ask me how!) I never used to have this problem when I was running OpenMG on Win98 on my laptop, ever since I have used it on WinXP on the PC, I keep getting static type noises on certain tracks.. I completly reinstalled OpenMG on the WinXP PC today and Win98 Laptop, completly removing everything and reinstalling every patch, update etc. I tried exporting 'Mad House - Like a Prayer' (which really highlights the problem) onto the same MD, the Win98 version was fine and the WinXP version had the popping and static when the remixed part of the song started... So yeah Hope it helps!
Daijoubu
Maybe OpenMG MP3 decoder sucks...someone should do a A/B test using waved mp3's from winamp (best/compliant MP3 decoder IMO) and OpenMG/SS decoded output
