Ultima
Hi all, Is it true that when I switch the internal battery of the Sony N10 off, it loses track of time? Isn't there a memory build in ? Cheers, Aad
Daijoubu
How can memory get hold of the time? Does your watch keep running without energy? no
Ultima
Well, it could be that there is a condensator in there with enough capacity to keep the time for a few hours... A lot of VCR's have that system in place to overcome power outages.... And off-course there is flash-memory etc.... My memorystick also keeps the memory intact without power... Anyway, still no answer...
Bazirker
No power = No time. Found that out the hard way. I hate how they have the power set up on the N10...it pisses me off that you have to run down the internal battery before it will switch to internal and I hate how you have to have the internal battery "on" in order for the unit to work at all. I wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't put the battery switch on the back, showing that they actually thought about giving the user a choice about where battery power comes from...but as it turns out there is essentially no point in that switch at all considering that if it is off the unit can't get power so the clock loses its time and you always have to run down the internal battery first anyway before any other source can be used. Ultima
Yep, I have tried it also the hard way, and came to same conclusion... I have to live with it...
