Question

Hello all,

I would love to leave apple for Sony walkman X. However, I am organizing my music with itunes and like itunes. So I was wondering if any of you found a way to use iTunes with the walkman X?

Or a similar software than iTunes that would work with Walkman X..

Thanks!!

Not sure if this answers your question but if you use Content Transfer, you can drag and drop music and playlists directly from itunes onto the player. Works very well.

Interesting Bob123! But in that case, audio files are not encrypter as would be with Sonicstage right?

Sony walkman X isn't compatible with SonicStage at all .Since it doesnt support Atrac .That leaves the encryption game behind .

Bob123 , Are you on a Mac or on Windows using iTunes from Windows ? if you on a Mac , then this would be interesting to me as well , I actually removed iTunes from my Mac because of incompatability with other MP3 players ....... so if you could explain this a little more detailed ....... It would be VERY much appreciated .

By the way Hello all , My first post here .

Hi. I'm like you, in that I also like using iTunes on my PC to organize my music. If you have the option in iTunes to "Keep your music folder organized" then your 'iTunes Music' folder should be nicely, well, organized :) All I do then is drag and drop the folders from iTunes Music to the MUSIC folder on the walkman, so they replicate each other. I sometimes have problems with Album Art, for which I use MP3Tag. But all in all this solution suits me - when I use to use Content Transfer it would organize the music in a funny way so that if I ever wanted to edit all the songs in one album, I'd have to manually find them one by one depending on the artist (I have lots of soundtracks, so lots of my albums have various artists). As iTunes organizes it's music by album artist, I find this way soo much easier.

I dunno if this has helped you - hope it has.
