Not speaking from experience here, but Bluetin.com have cheap prices, and they do all they can to ensure that it doesn't get stopped at Customs, inflicting extra taxes/duty. I'm Australian too, and may soon take the risk with this company for a Sony N710. It is a risk, but I think I'd be willing to take it. Let me know how you go. We are one of the largest paying tax nations. 10% GST is a large chunk. When importing you are legally subject to pay the GST plus any import duty, normally around 15% of the total purchase (including shipping) You also must consider that when you import you will lose all local support and warrenty.
