If the album art is tagged to each song then putting songs on the player by drag n drop will work. Using WMP11 is no differnt. If the songs didn't have album art in their meta data (or whatever its called) then art won't show up on player even if wmp is used. there is software out there that allows you to do that - one is audio shell - think that is free - but does take a while to load all art on - other members may know of a quicker way ???

I use Mp3tag to add album art to my music. It's a simple program which is really easy to use to organize your music.

It's called embedding the album art in to the ID3 Tag of the songs. As long as the art is 500 x 500 or below (I think, although I have a feeling I have some over that) and the size is below 100kb, then you can embed it in your songs and it will display succesfully on your X-Series. Just embed the art and use windows explorer to drag-and-drop your music onto the Walkman.

You can download Mp3tag here: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Yes, this is a great program. I use album art at 600x600 with no problem (most Amazon songs are 600x600). I have about 4000 songs - all tagged perfectly. I guess I just don't get why most people don't spend the time to do this...

Hi,

I am experiencing a problem regarding cover art on my NWZ-X1050.

I've added covert art to all of my songs, but all covers look unsharp (it looks blurred, because the resolution isn't right, I guess) on my NWZ-X1050.

Nearly all images are 500x500, which seems pretty standard to me.

Is there any way to solve this problem?

If not, I'd rather not have any cover art at all than very blurry cover art.

Thanks in advance! :hi:

Was experiencing the same issue when I used the software delivered with the walkman. I wrote to Sony about the problem and they had no solution (the software seems to be made for the A8X8 walkman, which had a smaller screen and a lower resolution). Then I started using Windows media player and that went Ok, but a bit complicated.

A few day's later I started browsing for answers and found a recommendation to "Mediamonkey". This is an ideal piece of software. Covers can be added manually (I use 200 x 200 pixels for the NWZ-X1060) or downloaded automatically. Synchronizing the songs to the 1060 is very easy and it's possible to convert songs to a less space-consuming quality. I found the program so easy to use that I bought the gold version (life time updates for 30 dollar or something like that). Now the pictures look sharp on the 1060 and it's very easy to fill it with my favorite songs.

Bert.
