Guest Anonymous
Hi there, I use a Sony Net MD 710, a portable MZE900 player and a 480 fullsize deck. I've recently noticed that after sucessfully recording MP3's or direct from the radio etc onto the NetMD710, and then playing it on either of the two other units that the contents of the disc are being deleted, not immediately - they usually play Ok the first time. At first I thought that I had misplaced the disc, and mistakenly picked up a blank disc (I've loads that aren't labelled), but this is actually happening!! Does anyone have any sugesstions to why, or have similiar problems happened to you. Any advice appreciated. Dave
Bazirker
That's a crazy problem...so you're making a disc via netmd, playing it in other players, and then it randomly ends up erased? Do both the other units end up erasing the disc, or is it just one? If you just play the disc in your 710, does it get deleted? I can't think of a way that something is wrong with the discs, since I've never heard of MD's randomly erasing themselves. I also am having difficulty thinking of a way that the netmd recording of the disc is causing problems, since the disc is playing on other players for awhile before deleting. My best guess is that something is wrong with either your deck or player that is corrupting the toc or something like that.
Guest Anonymous
Guess I am not the only one with the problem. I recently installed SonicStage and tried recording some MP3 to MD on my Sony S1. Although I only played it on the same unit, all the contents just disappeared after everything was working fine the first couple times! Now I can't check those songs back in SonicStage! I have tried to record again several more times and the same thing happened. At first I thought it's just a defect disc, but it turn out working OK if I switch back using RealOne, OpenMG, or SimpleBurner... I got my S1 for almost a year now and it still works fine with RealOne, but I have no idea why this would happen with SonicStage only... My best guess might be TOC somehow was deleted or damaged, but as for why it could play the first time before disappeared, I don't know... Anyone got any idea? dazzjazz
I've had BLANKDISC errors when I know that the disc is full too ! But this was when I recorded via the Mic input. I've searched the Net for a TOC cloning procedure for my N10 without success. The procedure i used before getting my recording erased: 1.Record via mic to a new folder 2.playback recording - no problem 3.Insert track marks and name tracks All standard fare. Next day I went back to the disk, which was left in the recorder, only to find it was blank. I've tried re-enacting the steps but without 'success' ! Please keep me in the loop on this one. mAjEsTiC
this happened on my N1 unit...my guess is that the recording lens was misaligned or totally stopped working or something...still under repairs so i would'n know wot the problem was until i get it back...
