I am considering getting a mzn-710, but it seems it has no line out, as the the mzn-910 and mzn-10 do. what does this mean? can i still hook it up to a stereo to play through the speakers, or use it in a car with a car adapter. thanks for any help.

yep u can hook it up to a stereo and play through the speakers and use it in the car with an adapter...not having a LINE OUT and using the HEADFONE OUT means that you are more suceptable to noise at higher volumes on the headfone output...it should be relatively fine to pass thru a signal from the MD to external speakers through headfone out instead of line out...tho if u can stretch the cash it's better off that you buy one with a LINE out...if u can't buy the N710 and hack it (check the NetMD part of this forum for more details)... tongue.gif

From what I read, the hack only opens a soft line out. Meaning it raises volume to max and turns of eq. So in other words I can do that myself easy befor plug into a external amp. And this without the danger of hacking. I have a MZ-N707 and would never even try to hack it, the "extra fetures" are not worth the risk.
