Guest Anonymous
Right, after weeks of diliberation with myself I have finally narrow my minidisc down to the final two: MZN10 or MZN910. Apart from the feeble output of MZN10 (only 2mW + 2mW 16Ohms), the magnesium casing and about £20 extra (in Amazon.co.uk), is there any reason to go for MZN10? MZN910 seems to have twice the output of MZN10 and a better battery life. Please advice me on how to proceed as I will soon be parting with me hard earn cash next week (pay day!)... Cheers! Christopher
Definitely 910, for battery life and amp. I promise you won't be disappointed.
mAjEsTiC
i second kurisu's opinion above...i own an N10 and tho quite happy with it the battery life really gets to me after having taken for granted the battery life on my N1 unit... syko
I own an N910 and it's by far the best MD player I've ever owned. One thing that steered me away from the N10 is the built-in lithium ion cell. Once that cell wears out, you'll need to send it in to Sony to replace it, and I certainly don't want that! Also battery life for the N910 is better, like it really matters because both models have impressive powersaving capabilities.
mAjEsTiC
yeh i gotta agree with the battery problem...but i had no choice because it was given to me as a gift and the N910 didn't exist back when i got it...
BerkY
Yea I second that... The N910 is the best model as it was released later than the N10. It also has a better battery life compared to the N10. so go with it. It should also be a little bit cheaper than the N10. So all is in favour of the N910 at the moment. Fonz
About the battery, I have always heard that a liquid lithium-ion will live longer before it is broke. And that when you charge an other type of battery before it’s completely empty it will reduce the battery life. For example my MZ-R35 is five years old and I still haven’t had any problem with the lithium-ion battery. I would buy the MZ-N10 just because it has the lithium-ion battery. And in school I learned that a liquid battery is better then a solid one, and I think that the gum stick used in the MZ-N910 is solid… And on a personal note, I have coaped with the 8h’s of battery life from my MZ-R35 so the 17h’s will be a big improvement! BerkY
Well you see the thing is the li-ion battery of the N10 cannot be replaced by you in a proper fashion. you would have to take it to a sony service center and have them replace it. That for me is a hassle. I would rather buy two more Ni-MH gum batteries for my N910 then pay lots of money for li-ion battery. Isnt it so much better? Why pay more when you can pay less? Sensible, no? Cheers BerkY
