mAjEsTiC
the N910 uses a high capacity (1450mAh min) NiMH Gumstick battery as opposed to the internal Li-Ion (340mAh??) that the N10 uses...both r small but the N10 is smaller and lighter than the N910 due to the internal battery...everything else feature wise is more or less the same...expect there's one extra feature in the N910's "Power" Options in the Menu that's not there on the N10...dunno what it does tho...N10 is the flagship model and a Special Edition 10th Anniversary Model from Sony...followed by the N910 which i wouldn't really call a flagship model as it is missing the cradle that u hook the USB connection up from PC -> MD (the USB mini plug goes straight into the unit whereas on the N10 u put it in a cradle)...the NE810 is a mid range model...uses a NiMH Gumstick battery but of lower capacity if i'm not mistaken....(uses the NW10 as compared to the NW14 on the N910)...both the N910 and N10 are almost identical units...with a few things that is different (either added features or removed features) they can be classified as a high end model... saix
ok thank you very much, do you sugguest any other models? I dont really understand the difference between say like a recorder and a player, does a player hook directly to your computer and just transfer them to a cd and so does a recorder but also you can do live stuff with a recorder? if so what can you do without a microphone? mAjEsTiC
the 910 does however have joint text.i think the N10 has this feature as well but it's not advertised... basically a player just plays MD's and cannot record...a recorder can record...a NetMD capable (the new Sony unit is a player or recorder??? since it doesn't have any other recording functionalities other than to transfer mp3's across) recorder can record music from PC -> MD and not the other way around despite the misleading info on the MD package...and the recorder can record from various sources without a mic...such as a hifi system or a set top DVD player (through digital/analogue means)... Guest Anonymous
hmmm where can you buy this one? the site calls it a MZ-N910(P) since I cant read the text and when you click pic there is an error but I do like the colored button. http://shopping.msn.co.jp/marketplace.aspx...=1168&catId=

mAjEsTiC
hmmm...no matter...IMO joint-text has become redundant to the titling capabilities done through NetMD + CDDB newayz...(i use this most of the time and hardly ever use my CD player...and since my Discman and MD units are of different brands, it's of no concern to me)
