Aeterna
I dont really want to use a cd player or a flash mp3, so i have started looking at minidisc players. I am especially interested in the new sharp or sony models ( mainly sharp, but sony looks good because of the g protection). Would the newer sharp models be ok? Would running with the player harm it? Thanks for the help.
waaD
The Sony models have G-Protection the MD never stop the sound even if you hit it. The Sharp models I don't konw, but i think they are good to. Sorry for the bad english...
mAjEsTiC
i hav to say that all mechanics do fail and MD's are not exempt...since they do contain moving parts they "may" skip while jogging (havn't seen this happen on my DS8, E10, HX400, MJ70, N1 or N10 yet)...heck the E500 that i've got in my possession skips when it sits on a stable flat table and i've never recalled dropping the unit once....but in general MD's units are sufficient for jogging... BerkY
I jog every now and then but I havent seen my N910 skip once... I also shook it rigorously side to side and up and down for around 20 seconds as hard as I could and it did not skip at all... although this was in LP2 mode and i think G-protection goes on for around 80 seconds in LP2 mode. In SP and LP4 it is 40 and 160 secs consecutively... Should be fine mate dont worry about it. Cheers BerkY
