Christopher
In what sense? Uploading from your MD to PC? If you want to upload from your MD, then consider purchasing a home deck with a optical out. Granted, you would need a device with an optical in [i.e. soundcard], but it would give you a true digital copy of whatever is on the MD. Decks like these can be found for quite little on eBay, and soundcards with an optical in for even less. If you don't like that, then you can consider analog uploading, which isn't bad [if you have the settings correct] but is downplayed because it's not digital. Other than that, be a little more specific and then we can help you better.
BerkY
I guess bejanne is talking about the check-in/check-out business most of us hate about. Yes bejanne it is a hassle. thats why I have started using Simple Burner for copying to my MD from the PC. And Kurisu is right about the recording business. You can either do it digitally or analog-illy (is there such a word ). I just added a new word to the english language. Anyways, I record using the analog method since I just cannot buy a deck just for digital recording. However, it might be an option in the future as I plan to get a new computer with an audigy 2 platinum sound card. Should be schweet Cherio BerkY
mAjEsTiC
oh btw regarding the Audigy 2 Platinum i have something against the performance of the card...it actually performs worse in sound benchmarks than my Audigy Platinum (this was also confirmed by a pro sound mag that i was taking a flick through a few months back)...i think it is the case because the Audigy sound processor is based on a brand new chipset that Creative made themselves to their specs whereas the Audigy 2 is using a stripped down modified version of a Cirrus Logic soundchip (Cirrus Logic cards are very good in general but not when Creative have mucked about with the chipset...)...IMO get the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro because this card is actually a lot better and newer than the Audigy 2 in terms of sound and quality...
