I think we should get this stickied as it get asked so often.

Well Sony introduced two new words to the music world when they introduced the NetMD... Check-in and Check-out.

Basically what Check-out means is copying songs from the PC to the MD. And check-in means "returning back" the songs or erasing them from the MD to the PC. Now there is a very fine line here smile.gif And it is a REAL hassle.

Here goes: With SonicStage you can only Check-in songs that have been already checked-out to the MD. So you are limited to what you have used SonicStage to check-out. AND you cannot check-in music that you have copied on to your MD from OTHER sources than your OWN PC. You simply cannot do this because it is Sony's way to protect illegal copying of music.

Since you only have 3 check-out's available for each track you can only copy it to 3 minidiscs or 3 times on the same minidisc (which would be pointless laugh.gif ), you have to check-in the songs back from the minidisc if you want to you can copy it to another minidisc for later use. That is if you want to be able to copy the song more than three times. SO once you use all of your 3 check-out's you CANNOT copy the song to another minidisc anymore UNLESS you check-in from one of the three minidiscs that you have copied it to earlier.

I hope you get it smile.gif It took me a few hours to get used to and its a pain in the arse but there is literally nothing you can do...

Cheers
