It is an entry level model. Quite basic and will get things done. Doesnt any of the funky features like the N10 and the N910. But its anti-shock protection is excellent, like all Sony's. Also it doesnt have a MIC IN so you will have to use a POWERED MICROPHONE from the LINE IN to be able record live...

Cheers

i wouldn't say that the Sony's shock protection is excellent in that it's practically flawless...there are flaws and it shows up on some units more than others (i.e. the E500 player i have in my possession atm seems to be playing up)...but this seems to be an isolated problem so it's nothing to worry about...it is however one of the best shock-protection mechanisms out there atm...

Well yea for me it is excellent. I had a crappy CD player which really annoyed me even walking on the street elt alone running... this is a fresh change. I havent seen it skip once... That for me excellent. Although it has been only 3 weeks since i have the N910, the g-protection is working flawlessly. (touch wood smile.gif )
