Guest Anonymous
Hi, I'm pretty new to the whole minidisc thing. now I'm having a little problem with the minidisc, in certain songs, instead of the drums in the background I hear those annoying static sounds when converted to ATRAC... happens in all bitrates, happens in all recording modes, happens only to specific songs. no matter how I try to convert it (real player, simple burner, OpenMG) it still sucks.. anything I can do about it?. When I had a different PC a few months ago with an Intel proccesor, it worked fine, now I have an AMD could it be the cause?
mAjEsTiC
i doubt it...i'm sure there are many AMD users out there that don't experience these problems...try converting the files to a .wav format and transfering that across and see what happens... BerkY
Well if its just those songs then there must be an encoding problem with those songs... Maybe SonicStage isnt working well with an AMD. This could happen really, I mean anything can happen. If you have the opportunity, why dont you try it on a different computer... maybe a friends computer. Also have you tried recording digitally from a HiFi with optical out? mAjEsTiC
i doubt it...i've used SonicStage on an AMD XP machine and it transfers songs across fine...
BerkY
Could be just with this setup though... Thats why i asked him if he tried on a different computer or even record through the optical cable... lets see what he says and we'll work from there.
