But why? I only listen to my MD when I go out or late at night when everyone is sleeping... I do not use it as a music sytem that i will need an infrared remote for... Just beats the purpose I reckon.

it's just for ppl who want to play around with the MD i spose...it's a pretty funky way of getting a portable to become like a hifi/deck with a remote....brings back memories of few years back when i was contemplating of doing a project such as this to hand in as my major work in high school...

Yea I guess you can do that... Connect it to the HiFi and use the remote to just listen to from the comfort of where your sitting Still tho not a feature I would use a lot, hehe...
