murf
I need a way of transfering files to the NetMD that are in .omg format. I backed up 20GB worth of .omg files before reformating my hard drive because of a virus. I erased the database files and now OpenMG will not recognize them. Please, can someone help? rarstar
In the top left corner of OpenMG, next to the help button, there's an import button... click that, find your files in the Explorer panel, and then click the red import button in the middle. murf
Thanks for the response - but that's not what I need. I need a method of transfering files that doesn't include OpenMG to authenicate the transfer using its stupid tracking system - I need a crack. Anyone else? Thanks again
iceeedtea
I need a crack.Cracks == illegal. Besides, if someone knew and spoke, they'd be quickly hunted down by Sony. ::cough:: First Mistake: storing your files as .omg files. 20GB of pretty much useless files. You could try to run Program FilesSonyOpenMGOjbsir.exe, but it's pretty much a useless and futile attempt since you burnt the original stored database/encryption. Delete the 20GB of files and recopy them from original sources using EAC as .wav and use FLAC if your disk has the space to store lossless copy of music. Decompress the .flac to .wav and import into SonicStage as .omg, delete the .omg when done. Second Mistake: You use OpenMG. SonicStage 2.0 > SonicStage 1.5 > OpenMG 2.2. hamoperator
Could you please explain what you mean by this? Sorry, but I'm new to this software. Thanks!
mAjEsTiC
i think what he means is that SonicStage 2.0 is newer than SonicStage 1.5 which is newer than OpenMG 2.2...so the latest build of the software is SonicStage 2.0...
Leland
The way to back up files (too late for you now) is with the included back up program that comes with OpenMG, Sonicstage etc. It works fine and allows your backed up files to be moved or duplicated from computer to computer, more than one computer if you wish in fact. Many people don't seem to be aware of this program, but I can't imagine why.
