mmp64
I know before it didn't work - but I just succesfully placed an order on the Sony site. Yes, I know they are supposed to be cheaper at Wal-Mart, but they are not there yet. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get them. Christopher
Cool. I had tried before and it said they weren't available yet. I'm a bit more patient so I'll wait till I can get them locally, but I hope you enjoy the discs! You have a Hi-MD unit, right?
mmp64
Right. The 600D. I am, unfortunately, not patient, so I bought that as soon as it came out. Also have the 900 pre-ordered.

mmp64
I never use the scroll wheel - I use the buttons to select the nav mode, and then the button, or whatever it is, in the center of the scroll wheel. I actually forgot about the scroll wheel until I saw your post.
The_Stamp
lol you thought it was just for looks? (ie: a crown?)
mmp64
Actually, when I first got it - I couldn't figure out how it worked. Then when I did figure it out, I thought it sucked, so I never used it again.
whistler162
Hi figured I would use this as my first post. Just recieved a shipping notification from Sony. I placed my order on Sunday evening.

Malow
hi, i really need some help form u. i want to buy a MZ-NH600D too, (but im in brazil, so is not too easy, but...) i wold like to ask for u the abilities of this md, because i see the features at the anoucement of hi-md, but i dont now if it is for all of models... so: it can act as usb drive? no drivers required? it uses the usb power to record the discs?
Christopher
Drivers will not be necessary in this situation, as it'll act as a mass storage device. USB does indeed power the transfers and doesn't draw off the battery. Malow
tnks dude... another question, if is not inconvenient... whats happens to battery life? i espect 45-56 hours in hi-md... but in minidisc site says 25 hours, in sony site say 30h... so.... Fray Adjacent
Battery life... If you're using the 600D, it will be probably much lower than the numbers you've posted. I have a 600MD playing some music right now. On a charged 2100mAh NiMH battery, I get about 6-10 hours of Hi-SP play. However, I do set it to shuffle, and I have to stop it frequently due to interruptions in the course of my job. I did set it to repeat and let it play through on a fresh battery one night... it went for about 14 hours before dying. SO, I always carry a spare AA. Malow
damn... i have the cheaper 410... and the battery really takes a lot to end.... im now thinking in a mp3 player... some last 40h with 1 aa battery... i like long battery life.... whistler162
Hi figured I would use this as my first post. Just recieved a shipping notification from Sony. I placed my order on Sunday evening. To update. Recieved the discs today, standard overnight same price as all the other modes. Now if Walmart or Best Buy would get them it would be even better. Still $8.50 or so isn't bad for 1gb of storage.
mutant1345
drifting bak to the hi md blanks thing i just got my order of three today...the packaging seems a bit excesive and looks like the price could go down by at least a a dollar give or take a few cents if they package them with a little less frill and more like the 80 min strd discs has anyone else recieved them and if so do you agree or disagree????? mutant1345
i dont mean the packaging that the discs were sent in i ment the cases themselves seemed a bit much i mean the old discs were in cases that just covered the discs these are in casette sized cases and i just think they could be sized down
mmp64
As the originator of this post, I am highly offended that I have yet to receive my discs :-) In fact, if I look at the status of my order, it says that they are out of stock and there is no estimated ship date. mutant1345
wow that sux maybe you should complain to sony about that they probly had some kind of problem goinng on in their shipment documents or something....but it is like sony to have some sort of problem going on so i wouldnt be surprised call em up.... mmp64
Finally got my discs today - even though, according to the "Order Update" on Sony's site they were "Out of Stock" with no ship date in site. I tried to order another 3-pack, but the site says that the product is "no longer available." So I ordered 4 separately.
