Erasing Discs completely

I tried to erase an entire disc of music on my N10 by using the Edit button and then erase disc but it says that the tracks are protected, (I'm using Sonicstage 1.5 by the way). I can't 'check in' the tracks on the disc due to computer problems so is there another way to erase a disc completely??

Thanks in advance :smile:

You may not be able to check them in, but you can still select delete them from SS 1.5 if im not wrong.

You cannot erase tracks that were downloaded from the computer, manually on the unit.

It has to be done via a NetMD compatible computer software.

Conversely, if you start a manual real-time recording on a disc recorded with NetMD without hitting the "END SEARCH" button or setting the "Rec-Posi." to "From End," it will delete everything on the disc, leaving it as a "BLANKDISC".

This happened accidentally with my N505 when I was an MD newbie. I forgot to write-protect my disc and forgot to hit the hold switch on the unit. I put it in my pocket and later in the day I wanted to listen to tunes, but they got erased! Ever since then I was careful to always leave my discs write-protected. xP

I don't know if this "works" on all units. >.>;
