Syrius
Hi all. Don't know where exactly could this go. For some who would like to get a replacement battery for your MD units which use the Gumstick models, you can order a generic replacement from Radio Shack, either online or on the phone. http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...5Fid=960%2D2103 Of course, I'll keep this one as a backup. I don't want to use my old and dear E35 with generic batteries only. But it's a nice spare for when the official gumsticks run out in the middle of a workout session. If this is not the proper section, feel free to move to the right one, mods. Thankee.
Christopher
Not a bad find - I will note that official Sony NiMH's [aka "gumstick" + 1450mAh] are available on eBay for less than $10, though.
Syrius
Really? Can you post link? I have only seen them for about 10 pounds, and with the shipping, it ads to more than an official gumstick here.
Christopher
Just put NH-14WM in eBay. They're usually less than $6. Be sure to look at the shipping costs, however..they seem to inflate that for some reason.
Sharpo51
Just put NH-14WM in eBayBTW: Where do the differences come from? Some batteries have 1450 mAh, the one in my N910 has 1350 mAh and the packaging of my spare battery (bought in Germany) states "1400 mAh". - Just another question out of curiosity: Has the charger BC-7HT ever been officially available outside Japan? Christopher
The differences are minimal between 1400 + 1450 mAh; it's probably not even worth it to look exclusively for 1450mAh batteries. I'm not sure about that charger, and I've never seen it outside that locale. I do see them on eBay quite a bit, however.
Syrius
I think I know why the ones on Ebay are so cheap. Check this one, original from Sony Japan... http://www.minidiscaccess.com/item.html?PRID=1152714 And check this other one, which is pretty much the same picture for every seller that comes up when you enter a search for that battery on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5714335311&rd=1 Now, no offense to people from those countries, but all those sellers are based on Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. I suspect counterfeiting here.
