fretwork
I wanted to transfer my sonic stage wiles to wav using the program on this site, but for some reason it's not working out (I have heard it works well though). I called sony today and realize what you all are talking about in regards to customer service. It ain't so good. I got more frustrated with the guy who could give me no answers when the new programs (wav converter) will be out--he said they were just starting to work on it. And I told him I will most likely return the himd then. Unless someone else can help me along, cause I believe I am at least somewhat computer literate..... fretwork
I copied the files from himd to my deskop (to try and simplify things) and tried to follow the directions to get it to work. I kept getting error messages.--could not open input file. I noticed the files I copied are .oma not the .omg, is this a problem?
Christopher
Are you employing a Hi-MD unit? Are you employing Sonicstage 2.1?
fretwork
yes, I'm using sonicstage 2.1, which I downloaded from this site. I'm new to this recording end of computing, so I ask for your patience. should I not have tried to copy it and put it on the desktop? would this change the files at all? (you never know with windows)
Christopher
You are using a Hi-MD unit, right?
fretwork
yes, the mz-nhf800. did I maybe record in the wrong format? I just picked this up a few days ago, so I'm learning all the buttons. I just recorded straight from the mic with whatever the factory settings were
Christopher
And you followed the directions within this thread: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=6087 Exactly how it states?
fretwork
I tried to do everything 5c from the wav converter on this site. I still have the first version, maybe I should try toying around with the 2nd version. it seems to be working fine, I just get those errors no matter what I do
fretwork
maybe I should just reinstall it. thanks so much for your patience
marcnet
It might be easier for us to diagnose and help with your problem if you add the -d option when rendering to .wav. This option produces a log file. If you open the resultant log file in notepad and copy & paste the last 10-15 lines of that log file we might be able to be a little more helpful.
