0 Rikard
Hi there! 0 willykyu
But I was wondering since the avaibility of this new update (which definitely got rid of my freeze problem! bravo) when a new one would be available. Why? because SS3.2 offers brand new atrac bitrates, and ONLY the 192bps can be read on my HD5! the others have to be converted to another already existing bitrate. Sony is a bit slow on this one... 0 evansncl
Hi there! Brand new at this forum..Just a quick question, will the firmware update format the internal harddrive and make me have to transfer 16 G of music all over again?Cheers Rikard, Sweden←I updated to 1.2 on my HD5 yesterday and didn't follow the instruction to back up my collection (as it was all present on that computer). If you have your library on the pc you are using, I don't think you need to worry about re-transferring everything, it seems to just be a sensible precaution . 0 Tometal
Maybe offtopic, but why aren't there any firmware-updates for the NW-HD3?
0 Guest Stuge
Maybe offtopic, but why aren't there any firmware-updates for the NW-HD3?Tometal,Welcome to AtracLife !!This type of topic was disscussed earlier as well ..First Since there is no problem with HD3 so there is no firmware upgrade nessasary .HD5 firmware was released b`coz unit sometimes hangs up at the start up .So this firmware solves that issue. Now WMA support can`t be added via this firmware b`coz the Sony used there own processor which does not support wma etc it only support Mp3 & Atrac bit rates. 0 dkerr99
I am challenged with my nwhd5 - it is alive - the backlight responds when I press a key - but I can't get the arrow keys to actually DO ANYTHING. So I can't move between menus - select songs, etc - and I was thinking of updating the firmware - basically trying to re-init the whole device - but you have to be able to get to the options menu - which is impossible to select. Any ideas how I force the device to re-initialize?
