I'm a big fan of Depeche Mode myself. I was lucky enough to see them in Carcassonne this Summer. A bit dissapointed comparing to their touring the angel shows though . I'm collecting their original 12" UK releases since a long time now. If you are a big big fan of the band and are in DM stuff collecting as well, here is a website you have to visit absolutely : http://www.depmod.com/misc/index.html

1. Depeche Mode - Wrong 12" (12Bong40) 2. Depeche Mode - John the revelator 12" (12Bong38) 3. Two Muji MD box

That's a nice find, espcially this dog version of My & our.
-
ZEROTANGO, any brand and discs (gold or not) will do the trick for your live recording project, Sinus was just kidding
-
Ok, thanks for the nfo. I was thinking about cleaning the surface of my discs with alcohol before sticking my labels so that they wouldn't peeled
-
Neither do I. Which brand are you using to label your discs ? I keep telling my self that if Sony and others have left a space to stick a label on the front disc, it has to (and can) be used ... no ?
-
Very catchy. The picture you've taken can easily find a place in the pictorial discs section as Sami said !
-
good idea : I just PMed him few minutes ago. A sent a message to Mike Rofone and Batphink as well. Still waiting for the answer of the latest That's precisely what I want to avoid. I pay a lot to get my MD-133 and want to keep it in good condition.
-
Well inkjet or not, my main fear is that the gum run out of the label and break my units mecanism. Do you think that this could happen am I just a paranoïd ?
-
That's exactly what I told myself. The labels I bought are only inkjet compliant ! Better not take the risk I guess ?!?
-
I did check this thread and sent an private message to TBR so that he could tell me if the labels he use were suporting high temperatures. He answered me that he didn't know that labels could have this property. That's why I'm asking the question here.
-
Do MD labels use a special paste to be compliant with the heat of the unit when it play a disc ? The labels I bought are described for other purpose and I'm worring about broken my units with them (sounds silly but I would like keep my units and deck alive !)
-
The benifit is to show off when a MD aficionado and his gf ring my bell with an EH1 and its cigarillo case in hands That's the very reason why I bought the MD-133 instead of the MD-105FX. I found it easier (and more secure because of the warranty) to buy the remainder elements in Europe as well, knowing that the 205 series were not available in France
-
would you mind to post a pciture of it here (or in the disc pictorial section of the forum). I'm wondering what it looks like wihtout its shrinkwrap. I hope you ask the seller to keep the Memorex disc against free shipping lol.
-
This bitclub has never been referenced on any website I know. Even the MdChannel gallery never mentioned it so far so yes, this bitclub is a true rarity. Funny how such a thing can be sold at such a price. Difficult to find but still. What's sure is that I'll never put so much on the table to get a blank. More than 25 GBP for a single disc is just crazy lol.
-
That's a nice setup you've got there The Denon elements look so hugly on the pictures taken and published on the Denon website. I'm a bit suprised to appreciate their design on your picture . Surprised by the D-TK10 as well : I thought they were bigger than that actually. Did you bought the black version of the technics SL-1200 instead of the silver one volontary ? The silver version would have matched perfectly with your other elements. Cheers.

Can't wait your pictorial review

Bought a pack of 5 blanks (Maxell Colorclub 80'). I'm wondering how they perform against my Onkyo D-302E. A nice pair of speaker you've got there Sinus . Edit : Sinus, could you please post a picture of your home system now you've got those beautiful Onkyo speakers with you ?
-
Is there a way to recognize a properly mastered CD wihtout listening to it, like a particular label or mention on the jewelcase, a website that list them ?
-
I've an Onkyo MD-133 myself and the baby is doing his job. Call it a high end deck or not, it's the only deck that is still produced nowadays with its little sister, the Onkyo MD-105FX. And for the price of it, you'll have Hi-MD / PCM compatibility. Why asking for more ?!?
-
Those units are pretty hard to get. You may have more chance to find such rarities on ebay where they could appear sporadically. I imagine that Sony and Sharp players / recorders can handle them withtout any problem though.
-
Many thanks for the tip I'll check this out !

Avrin, What about people recording MD from a CD source on a deck ? Which manual setting would be the most accurate for a good copy (on a Onkyo MD-133 for instance) via TOS Link ? Regards. Franck.
