hello everyone i just got my stuff in SONY Sound Gate CD MD Stereo LAM Z03 Japan Mini Disc Sony MZ-B100 Portable Mini Disc Recorder!! Sony MZ-E610 Minidisc (girl Model) anyways my sound gate player has a network mode anyone know anything about this? it looks like it has a usb port in the back of the machine.

Nope no one cares about any of my minidisc they just laugh and call any of my units that I use at work an atrack player I just laugh and say "please enjoy your iPods you I-sheep" and go about my day so I have nothing to worry about and your so right how no one understands our obsession. My wife thinks I am a little crazy for using minidisc still, like I tell everyone who asks... "Quality over quanity" But just to be clear I will never leave the format until all of my units have stopped working and I can't find anymore to buy.

I think that I-crud is way to close to that wonderful peace of art.

I also have a MD Deck not see in the photo its a .....MXD-D5C MINT condition hope you guys enjoy also have 65 more disc on the way and a rare Japanese MD unit on the way will post when they get here.

Oh yea I forgot I have about 9 minidisc players at home when I go on leave will add more photos.

Some eBay I am deployed so I have a lot of extra cash I am collecting minidisc as well I am about 300 I think.. Will put up pics later and yes my unit shuts off but only if I use one of those off brand batteries not the Sony kind as for the clicking mine never clicks but I can always hear the motor running like its constantly loading the music and I have noticed it hates Memorex disc.

Hello everyone I just bought a mz-e44 minidisc player on ebay mint. it sounds wonderful Can anyone help me stop this minidisc addiction its so fun buying new units I own about 18 units and 2 decks

The minidisc unit works perfectly but after I put a disc in and open the minidisc players lid it won't eject the MD you how they are supposed to pop up out of the unit mine won't do that anymore I have to flip the unit upside down to great the disc out. Any solutions thanks again for this great community.

But am I getting the best quality? And I do have back ups I just keep all of the flac files on a ssd on my pc

OK am I getting the best quality this way first I download an album in flac then burn it to a CD using gburner (even adds CD text for me) anyways then I put it in my Sony MXD-D5C and record in SP mode and play the new MD with my sharp 702 MD player with some audio-technica ATH-M50 headphones any thoughts thanks...

Any one know if the record light lights up when recording??
