I used ones made by tdk and my deck reads them perfect i burned a flac file and cue sheet to a cdr it worked perfect when dubbing to md even on the fast setting.

Great md unit thanks fast shipping got 2 HI-MD disc with the unit and a bunch of gumstick batteries and charger more then what i asked for thanks again tom for the unit. A++++++++++++++++

I don't know if this will help but open up the unit and push the head closer to the disc or back down that's how I fixed one of my md decks did the same. thing good luck Or don't have a disc, in and push it down more

It won't do it on Mac only live recordings You should just run a vm ware on your Mac with windows

I have an mz-rh1 already i was looking for a HI-MD unit with a Optical in and takes a AA battery i hate the gumstick kind of battery I dont mind the AA
