Yes, I have tried those methods, I thought you were refering to a method discussed in a sticky or something I may have missed in this forum.
The <.< was a sign that I wasnt sure what your comment had to do with the original question, not that I hadnt previously tried to jump the batteries.
The unit already will not turn on while on battery power. My MZ-NH1 will flash the battery charging symbol and CHG:--- min before popping up with 00min and shutting down. The unit plays perfectly fine without a battery when I have it in the dock, so its not the unit (unless its the battery contacts which I have cleaned).
I even purchased one of those universal chargers that you clip the battery into to apply the charging bits directly to the battery contacts to no avail.
And I've tried probally 3 more techniques in the last 2 weeks.
Short of hunting down someone with a power supply or working battery and jumping them off (another suggestion I read), I have no more idea of how to charge these up.
Back to my original post (and yes, I have googled that as well) I thought that perhaps the people here would know of an alternative to what appears to be a problem that is cropping up more and more for those using units powered by these LIP-4WM's.
