Try using the video converter of Xillisoft. Choose the iPod 30GB and encode it. I use this software to change the format to MP4 that can be played in the NW-A8xx series.

You know what? Just a 3 months ago here in Chile, the price for the NW-A808 was US$400. Today you can find it at US$180. For the next generation of flash player, I will wait for a better price... cc@mp0s.cl

mm what profile are u using? I am using now iPod (30)... I ripped Star wars 3 and Die Hard 4 with no problem...

Check the config of the software, probably it is seleccted to built a file with a specific file size. If the entire movie size is 3000 MB, may be the software should be spliting the file or just ripping until the 1500 MB. Check that and let us know...

I still believe that none of this Sony distribuitor knows what will happen with our player. Why don't to ask directly to the manufacturer? I suggest to write to japan or ask to Sony japan about this... mmm I don't know any word in japanese..

May be you should try to enconde videos with a tiny screen or with a lower speed... The player could fix the full screen by config. Try it...

It is working for me. I've tried with AVS DVD, and using Xilisoft... Even I've used the Shrink to only get the movie, then converted to avi with Xilisoft and re-converted with Image Converter :S lot of time waiting, but it works...

yeah, relax man... If there is a new firmware release, someone will share it through the net if other don't have the update...

Try K-Lite codec pack, BS Player PRO and divx codec (www.divx.com) and install them all. When finish, try to convert the video with Image Converter and let us know if this work! cc@mp0s.cl

I am using the xilisoft pro version to convert videos, DVD or any file to mp4. I just select to convert to iPod 30 o iPod 60 and that's it. I'm able to change the config as the sample rate for the audio and the convert. Try it!... oh! I forgot to tell that I have the video decoders to play the videos in my pc and to convert them with the Image Converter. I think this files are necessary to successfully convert the files and play them with the player. cc@mp0s.cl

Hello! I have the NW-A806 player and I think it's excellent. I would like to know if you are using other software to convert video than Image Converter and how do you configure it. I want to try another to improve image quality and sound... and just for having fun.. Thanks in advance. Cristián!
